Story Submissions

We have more titles in development and are in need of stories that readers will find interesting. Our books are about credit, personal finance, real estate and small business. I am sure you have a story or two that would be of benefit to the rest of the world; I am asking you to share your stories or experiences.

Here are the areas currently in development:

Targets: overcoming an obstacle; avoiding a pitfall; real-life successes; proven strategies

Stories, examples and cases regarding:

•  Credit (i.e. cases/situations you have come across; vent, praise, best advice)
•  Advice to students and young adults just starting out
•  Saving money / Money management (all aspects of money)
•  Buying a first-home
•  Entrepreneurship
•  Marketing / Sales (i.e. use of seminars and education in increasing transactions)
•  Investing in real estate (new and seasoned)
•  Getting serious about preparing for retirement
•  Any good story that you think people should hear

Please understand that all stories must be from you and cannot have been published previously. Just by writing a story you are the copyright holder, and we will never publish anything without signed permission from the copyright holder (you).

The number ONE rule to writing is to just write it. Don’t worry about proper grammar and polish… that’s what editors are for (this is not an English paper).

The editors will choose the stories for each specific title.  If your story is chosen to be included in a book you will be notified and your permission will be requested to reprint the story.  At that time we will request how you want your name to appear or if you prefer to remain anonymous (but come on, everyone deserves their 15 minutes of fame).

To write and produce a book can take years, not because authors are lazy, but because a lot goes into a book. My first book The Credit Road Map only took one year to write and edit, but prior to writing it I had taught and researched the subject for 5 years.  You will not hear from us immediately regarding your story submission, as it may fit a current title or it may fit a future title.  That being said, I do have two titles that need to be finished by the end of the summer, so don’t wait too long in submitting your story.

There are three ways to submit your story:

1)

Email:

Preferably in Word; Stories@TheCreditRoadMap.com

2)

Fax:

(480) 240-1587 (Attn: Stories Editor on cover page)

3)

Mail:

Success Road Map Press
Attn: Stories Editor
P.O. Box 12285
Tempe, AZ 85284

Please include your email address, telephone number and mailing address.  Keep in mind that we may need to reach you a year from now, so please make sure you provide contact information that makes you reachable in the future.

Please forward this information to anyone that you believe may have a story to tell.

Take some time to write out a story or two; it will be fun. Don’t think it has to be perfect.  Just write something and let the editors do their job.

Sincerely,

Patrick Ritchie
